Nord Is one of my favorite VPN Companies earning them second place on my list. The NordVPN WW  thing that I like most about there service is that it supports the TOR Network. This gives you an additional layer of Internet Anonymity, however by using this feature you will definitely notice a reduction in your Connection Speed. This is do to your routing through the TOR Network, It adds several more steps for your Internet Traffic to take before it reaches the destination server. While you will see a reduction in speed you wont have to worry about those pesky Google Captchas, since your Encryption goes through the TOR Network making the Nord Server the last stop on your route. This will also help protect you from anyone trying to use the TOR Network to collect information since your traffic will be encrypted. I have never contacted a companies tech support and felt like I was talk to another Anon, but when I was talking to their Tech Support Team that’s exactly how I felt. They had all the answers that I really cared about (when It comes to privacy) and gave them to me before I could ask for them. You can tell by how they talk and by the set up of their program that they care about your anonymity. sadly everything has a downside and with Nord it’s the ticket response time. While they have a moderate live chat response time of 51.6 sec/message, their ticket response time is within 48 hours. Even for a company this large that is a very long response time. Luckily the provide 24/hr live chat with a team that knows what they are doing, so it is very likely that you will get assistance the you need through there. If you happen to get sent to a ticket though, no worries. While you still might have to wait a while you will more than likely get helped sooner than if you submitted a ticket.while their ticket response times are really slow they do make up for that in the features that their service offers, lets start with their Logging Policy. When I first start a chat while I’m gathering information on these companies the first question I ask is “What makes you better than your competition?” and never have I ever gotten a direct response about their logging police with this question, most companies prefer not to talk about it at all. Not with Nord the first answer they gave me was about their logging policy. they responded with and I quote “We have a strict zero-log policy, which includes no logs of timestamps, bandwidth, or server locations.”. Most of the time when you contact a company and ask them about their logging policy they will just tell you we don’t keep logs and you have to drag the rest out of them. This wasn’t a problem with Nord they served the information up to me on a platter and that is definitely worth noting. While they scored big in all three of these major points that’s not all that they offer. The list of features that they offer are Deep Anonymity Options, Strong Encryption Protocols, a Large Device Cap, you can stream movies through it and they provide DDOS Protection for all of you entrepreneurs out there. My personal favorite of all of these are their Anonymity options and their Encryption Protocols. The three Anonymity Options that they offer are Functionality Through TOR, Double VPN and SOCKS5 Proxies. Now I’m a huge supporter of the TOR Network making that my favorite option, but Double VPN is a very good alternative to this. Some of the benefits of these features are faster connection speeds and more security, since you will never leave the Nord Server Network during your route. When it comes to Proxy Servers it’s a nice feature for these guys to offer when maybe you don’t need your traffic encrypted just rerouted. SOCKS5 being one of the best forms of Proxies since it operates at a lower level of the OSI Model. The second of my favorite features that they offer are their Encryption Protocols. They use a very strong AES-256 bit encryption for L2TP/IPSec, 2048 bit SSL encryption for OpenVPN and a MIPPE — 128 bit encryption for PPTP. This also means that they can be used on Tomato and DD-wrt Routers. A big plus for a company to have with the VPN Community is the ability to stream Internet Videos across them. While many get caught up on this Nord insures that you won’t have any problems streaming videos. While they don’t have an expanding device cap like TOR Guard does they do have a very large device cap compared to most they allow you to have up to 6 Simultaneous connections at one time. Last but not Least we have thier Anti-DDOS Servers these servers use an advanced stability checking system to insure that you have an uninterrupted connection. Nord is a good VPN Service to use they offer a lot of functionality that other services neglect to offer, their only big pitfall is their Prices. Nord is a Top Self VPN making it a very expensive service but with all of the functionality and options that you get it is well worth it if you have the money for it. The fact that they are one of the big dogs in the market make them worth being one of the first VPN’s you check out on your search. They will give you a good idea of what the best offers so you can compare it to the rest of the VPN’s out there to find a good balance.
